FULL ACCOUNT
On June 5, 2013, 27-year-old Leah Roberts was last seen at a gas station in Front Royal, Virginia — the northern gateway to Shenandoah National Park. Her vehicle was found parked nearby, with her wallet, cell phone, and personal belongings still inside. She had not withdrawn money, made calls, or given any indication she planned to disappear. Shenandoah National Park spans over 200,000 acres of dense Blue Ridge Mountain terrain, and the area around Front Royal is heavily forested and remote in many sections. Despite extensive searches of the park and surrounding communities, no trace of Leah has ever been found. Virginia State Police and the Warren County Sheriff's Office investigated the case, and the National Park Service assisted with searches inside the park boundaries. No persons of interest were ever publicly named. Leah's family has continued to appeal for information, noting that she had no reason to disappear voluntarily and was a grounded, stable individual with close family ties. Her case remains listed as a missing persons investigation. No answers have come.
