Varginha UFO Incident — Brazilian Military Captures Alien Beings After 1996 Crash

In January 1996, multiple witnesses in Varginha, Brazil reported encountering strange creatures with large reddish eyes, brownish oily skin, and V-shaped heads in the streets of the city. The Brazilian military and police responded in force, and credible accounts emerged of at least two of the beings being captured and transported to military hospitals.

A Brazilian firefighter reported that his unit was involved in capturing one of the creatures in a field. Several military witnesses later gave accounts consistent with a recovery operation involving non-human entities. A young woman who reportedly handled one of the beings claimed to have become sick after contact.

One of the beings reportedly died and its body was taken to the University of Campinas and later to a US facility according to some accounts. The Brazilian government denied all knowledge of the events. A military officer who was present at the retrieval reportedly died under mysterious circumstances weeks later, allegedly from contact with the beings.

The case attracted enormous attention in Brazil and became the country's most significant alleged contact event. Dozens of witnesses provided consistent accounts across different institutions. The Brazilian UFO research community conducted an extensive investigation and concluded that a real event involving non-human entities occurred in Varginha in early 1996.
