Theodore Robert Bundy was an American serial killer who kidnapped, raped, and murdered numerous young women and girls during the 1970s. He was active across multiple states, targeting college campuses and other locations in the Pacific Northwest, Utah, and Colorado before his final crimes in Florida. Bundy decapitated at least 12 of his victims and kept some heads as trophies in his apartment. He escaped from custody twice before his final capture in Tallahassee in 1978, and was executed in Florida's electric chair on January 24, 1989, confessing to 30 homicides.
