FULL ACCOUNT
Nikolai Dzhumagaliev was a Soviet serial killer active in Kazakhstan between 1979 and 1981 who murdered at least seven women and practiced cannibalism. Known as "Metal Fang" because of his white metal false teeth, he was caught in 1981 after dinner guests at a party became aware that he was serving human flesh. Found mentally incompetent to stand trial, he was placed in a psychiatric facility but escaped in 1989 and killed at least two more women before being recaptured. He was eventually released from a Tashkent psychiatric institute in 1990, reportedly traveling to several former Soviet republics.
