FULL ACCOUNT
On Australia Day, January 26, 1966, three siblings — Jane (9), Arnna (7), and Grant Beaumont (4) — disappeared from Glenelg Beach in Adelaide, South Australia, and were never found. Multiple witnesses reported seeing the children with an unknown adult male before they vanished. The case prompted the largest police investigation in South Australian history and effectively ended a national innocence about allowing children to walk to the beach alone. Despite numerous confessions and excavations over the decades — including a 2018 dig at a former Castalloy factory — the children have never been found and no one has been convicted.
