FULL ACCOUNT
On April 21, 2011, the bodies of Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès and her four children were found buried under the terrace of the family home in Nantes, France. Each had been killed with a rifle and sedatives. The family patriarch, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, was last seen April 15 and has not been found since. French authorities believe he murdered his family before fleeing, and an international arrest warrant was issued. A 2019 misidentification of a man in Scotland as Dupont de Ligonnès caused an international media frenzy. His true whereabouts remain unknown.
