The Disappearance of Brandon Swanson

Brandon Victor Swanson, a 19-year-old college student, disappeared near Lynd, Minnesota, on May 14, 2008, after his car became stuck in a ditch following a night out. He called his parents for help and spoke with them on the phone for 47 minutes while walking toward what he thought was the town of Lynd. Mid-sentence, he suddenly said "Oh sh**" and the call went dead. His car, personal items, and cell phone were found, but Brandon was never located. His case led to the passage of "Brandon's Law" in Minnesota, requiring an immediate response to missing persons reports for those aged 21 and younger.
