FULL ACCOUNT
Ahmad Suradji was an Indonesian cattle breeder and self-styled sorcerer who strangled 42 women and girls over an 11-year period in North Sumatra between 1986 and 1997. He claimed his father's spirit had instructed him in a dream to kill 70 women and drink their saliva to gain magical powers. Suradji buried his victims upright in his sugarcane field with their heads pointing toward his house, as he believed this would concentrate their power toward him. He was caught in 1997 after a body was found and two of his three wives implicated him. Suradji was executed by firing squad in 2008.
